Your gift today can deliver emergency trauma care, mental health support, and vital supplies to families in Afghanistan. Stand with them now.
A powerful earthquake has devastated communities in eastern Afghanistan.
A devastating 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Nangarhar Province on 31 August 2025, its tremors felt as far as Kabul. Entire families were buried under rubble. Over 2,205Â people have lost their lives, with more than 3,124 injured, and 12,000 individuals directly affected. 5,412 homes have been destroyed, while hospitals, and roads are severely damaged. Trauma, grief, and risk of disease now haunt survivors. Your support can help WHO teams deliver life-saving care where it is needed most.

Why your support matters:
-
Rising toll: Deaths and injuries increasing by the hour.
-
Severe trauma: Many need urgent surgery and medical care.
-
Displaced families: Thousands left homeless and without shelter.
-
Health risks: High danger of disease outbreaks.
We urgently need flexible funding to scale up our response and reach more survivors.
